Founded in 2016, The Summit began as a church with a vision to bring people closer to God. However, in 2021, the organization transitioned into a mission trip-focused non-profit, dedicated to spreading the word of God and making a lasting impact in nations around the world. Based in Langley, British Columbia, The Summit has grown to become a pivotal force in international mission work.
The organization has established strong partnerships with churches and ministries in Rwanda and Uganda, focusing on fostering relationships with local communities and supporting them in their spiritual journeys. Through these partnerships, The Summit organizes and leads mission trips that bring together volunteers from across Canada to serve and spread the love of Christ.
As a non-profit organization, The Summit continues to grow its impact, working tirelessly to bring hope, faith, and support to those in need across the globe, while maintaining a deep commitment to its roots in Langley, BC.
Matthew
28:19-20
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Patricia has been a dedicated member of The Summit since 2017, when it was still a church. When The Summit transitioned into a non-profit organization, Patricia was invited to join the leadership team as one of its directors.
Patricia is driven by a heart for building meaningful connections that foster spiritual growth and strengthen the community. She believes in the power of relationships to create a foundation for sharing The Word of God.

From attending the bible study in the Fall of 2015 and becoming a member in January 2016, Micah has been a part of the Summit ever since.
The Summit is where Micah has grown spiritually from taking the first step of going into the mission’s field in 2017 and has since been to three more.
Along with two others, she has taken a leadership role when the Summit transitioned to a Mission’s-based non-profit organization.

Kassandra has been an active and dedicated member of The Summit church since January 2016. With a deep passion for serving others, she felt a call to mission work that has shaped her journey ever since. In 2017, Kassandra embarked on her first mission trip, a life-changing experience where she not only began to see God’s work unfold in new ways, but also met her now-husband. The two shared a strong connection through their love for service, and their shared faith led them to continue serving together on mission trips, bringing them closer both spiritually and as a couple.
Since then, Kassandra has made mission trips a regular part of her life, traveling with her husband and their son to serve communities in Africa. Her heart is deeply moved by the people of Africa, and she feels a strong calling to support and uplift the church and its people in this region.

Joseph became a member of The Summit in 2020 when he relocated to Canada to join his wife, Kassandra. Originally from Rwanda, Joseph has long been committed to serving his community and church. Before moving to Canada, he was a prominent leader in Nyabugingo Worship Centre, where he served as a Youth Pastor, guiding and mentoring young people in their faith.
After settling in Canada, Joseph continued his passion for ministry by becoming a Youth Pastor at his local church. His heart for service and deep commitment to mission work led him to his current role as the Ambassador of The Summit. In this role, Joseph is responsible for acting as the main communicator between the local churches in Africa and The Summit, particularly in the planning and coordination of mission trips. His leadership helps foster strong relationships between the church in Canada and its African counterparts, enabling meaningful outreach and service.
Joseph’s dedication to spreading God’s love and his passion for mission work continue to inspire those he works with, as he remains focused on supporting the church both locally and internationally.

Tyrell has been proudly serving the Lord with SIOS as our Social Media Manager since 2024. As our newest member of the team, Tyrell was presented with the opportunity to minister in the Uganda & Rwanda mission trip in the summer of 2024 where his passion for sharing the Gospel and word of God was truly unveiled. However, his experience in the mission field started as an 18 year old in Belize where he helped run VBS and outreaches with the local communities. Since then, Tyrell has encouraged others to serve in missions trips so that they may experience the goodness of God as well. He never hesitates to help out his neighbours and carries that same attitude in his ministry – whether that be in the mission field or in his local community.
