Partnered Ministries

Nyabugingo Worship Centre

SIOS’ first mission trip in 2017 was with Nyabugingo Worship Centre. During this trip, the team organized and led a Vacation Bible School program, reaching over 100 children from both the church and the surrounding community. The primary contacts for this partnership are the Lead Pastors of Nyabugingo Worship Centre, Pastor Canisius Gacura and Pastor Allen Gacura.

Over the years, SIOS has been committed to supporting the church’s growth, providing financial assistance towards the construction of their building, which was completed in 2024 after 11 years of sacrifice and faith. Today, SIOS continues to partner with Nyabugingo Worship Centre to spread the Word of God, both within the church and throughout the community.

Kawempe Worship Center

The first meeting between SIOS and Pastor Robert Kasozi took place during the 2023 mission trip to Rwanda. Pastor Kasozi extended an invitation for the team to partner with the church he leads, Kawempe Worship Centre in Uganda. After praying and seeking the Lord’s guidance, the team responded faithfully and traveled to Uganda in 2024. There, they collaborated with Kawempe Worship Centre to lead a youth and young adult conference called “Excavate” and helped sponsor a few children for a semester of schooling.

Currently, SIOS continues to partner with Kawempe Worship Centre by connecting individuals and families in Canada with children in need of financial support for school fees and tuition. In addition, SIOS remains committed to partnering with Kawempe Worship Centre.

Mpore Children Ministry

SIOS began its partnership with MPore Children Ministry during a mission trip to Rwanda in 2023, where the SIOS team learned of Pastor Kagabo’s calling to establish the ministry. MPore Children Ministry is dedicated to supporting children with disabilities by addressing their essential needs, improving their living conditions, and promoting respect for their dignity.

In 2024, SIOS continued its partnership during a second mission trip, where the team met with local families and provided goats as gifts to help create a sustainable source of milk. This initiative benefits both the children and their families, offering long-term support.

Through these efforts, SIOS and MPore Children Ministry are collaborating to provide education, resources, and support to vulnerable children and families, fostering lasting change and empowering the next generation of Rwanda.
